AI, Ads & The Law Inaugural Edition

A practitioner forum, not a panel — convened where strategy, law, and technology actually meet.

AI, Ads & The Law — Inaugural Edition
The Brief

AI, Ads & The Law was conceived as JAA's flagship practitioner forum — a deliberately small, deliberately senior convening at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advertising, and the law. The inaugural edition was held in Accra in 2026, drawing strategists, in-house counsel, agency leads, and platform operators into a single room for two days of structured conversation.

The brief was simple to state and hard to execute: build a room where the conversation actually goes somewhere. That meant guarding against the usual failure modes — generalist panels, theoretical posturing, and the kind of audience that listens politely and forgets by the next quarter.

How we worked

Approach

  1. 01Curated the guest list ourselves, operator by operator — practitioners with live decisions to make, not theorists with positions to defend.
  2. 02Structured the facilitation around working sessions rather than keynote-and-Q&A, with each session producing a written artefact the room could carry away.
  3. 03Framed the agenda cross-disciplinarily — strategy, law, technology, and commercial reality treated as a single problem rather than four adjacent ones.
  4. 04Documented the proceedings into a follow-up programme — turning the inaugural edition into the seed of the Quiet Conversations Monthly Series.

The measure of a convening is not who showed up. It is whether the conversation in the room was different from the one happening everywhere else — and whether anyone left with something they could act on by Monday.

Begin a Conversation

Work of this kind is built one engagement at a time.

If your brief sits at the same intersection — strategy, stakeholders, and trust — we'd like to hear it.
